“Bend, Don’t Break was a dark, sensual, and at times, twisted and chaotic read that messed with my mind so good.” (Shayna Renee’s Spicy Reads)

James is still reeling from the dark facade he was forced to adopt at “the retreat”, and before he and Rose can be together, he needs to find his own way to move on.

About the Book

I thought I was done.
     my End
I couldn’t take my eyes off her as the bullet tore through me, leaving me with nothing but the hope that I had done enough to save her. The darkness tried to engulf me—to brand me as its own and drag me to my fate.
               my Darkness
Waking to see her tear-stained face above me was enough to make my heart stutter. I was alive and free from that place—but not from the toll it had taken on my mind and body.
                         my Strength
My story should have ended, but one woman kept standing in the way of that. The only way I could have her was to find a way to put the darkness to rest.

It makes you look at certain aspects and situations of what happened in Irrevocable in a different light….” (Bloggers from Down Under)

"James is a very complex character and I loved being in his head. This book is written solely from his perspective, and Skye does an amazing job. Rose is a tough cookie. She’s been to hell and back, but that doesn’t stop her from giving herself over to James in every way she can."
"I was skeptical about a whole book from James’ POV but since it actually starts later and is more about James dealing with the aftermath with some flashbacks it was very easy to get wrapped up in the story. It is easily a whole other story since Irrevocable has about a 4 month gap at the end that I  got to read about."
"I have to say it didn't disappoint for even a second. This book was almost better than the first for me simply because we're in James's head the whole time.... This is definitely one of my favorites by Skye and I cannot wait for whatever she writes next."
"This is a five star read it kept me hooked and wanting to know what the outcome of their situation was going to be. I definitely recommend that you get this book and read it but it should be done after reading Irrevocable. Skye Callahan does an awesome job in developing the characters and keeping the storyline going and you glued to the story."
"I would recommend this book if you read Irrevocable. You would definitely want to see what happened next in the story. No cliffhanger. A happily ever after (but not the typical one because those two are steal healing from their past). I mean how much can two people take before the break."
"Wowzers! Bend Don’t Break blew my mind...! This book is intense and I LOVED every minute of it.... Filled with action, adventure, drama, lies, secrets, betrayal and love…this book has it all!"
"James’ point of view adds a necessary facet to his and Rose’s story. It allows readers to understand the position he was put in and why his choices weren’t really his own. It exemplifies his torment both during and after his experience in the Retreat, and it solidifies the depths of his feelings for Rose and how even though many may not understand their relationship, they are better together, working as a team than suffering alone."
"Bend Don’t Break was a great read. It makes you look at certain aspects and situations of what happened in Irrevocable in a different light.... We recommend everyone to put this on their TBR list, but please read Irrevocable first."
"Speechless! This was exactly what I needed to be happy with their story...! They fight their struggles and dark past together. And at the end are exactly what I wanted them to be.... It's a must read."
"I loved this sequel. It filled in so many holes from James POV and got us to the HEA I wanted for them both. If you loved Irrevocable, this is a must read!"
"Rose and James have so much to work on recovering from their time at the Retreat, this book is filled with every emotion and it is an amazing read. I don't want to give away any part of the story but if you read Irrevocable you must read this book, it was just as good if not better."
"Now back on the outside, James and Rose have to figure out how to put the pieces back together in this next chapter of their lives. Loved them in Irrevocable and fell even harder for them in Bend, Don't Break."

"I really liked James and especially his coming to terms with what he'd done at the retreat and the man he'd become because of it. It just worked."
"I just finished Bend, Don't Break and what a way to finish this story! I just loved it.... "

"This is what I wanted at the end of Irrevocable! I needed James’s POV. I love that Skye Callahan didn’t just retell Irrevocable from James’s POV either. Bend Don’t Break starts just after the raid happens. We don’t merely get a story though, we get James’s thoughts and feelings on everything that happened."
"Again, I am amazed, I read this in an afternoon, and I am so glad I had the time because I wouldn't have been able to put this down.... While this book is told from James's POV it gives another side to the first story yet, builds onto the current story and another part that you haven't been told."
"Bend Don’t Break wasn’t as dark as Irrevocable and ended up being a perfect mix of drama and suspense. This sequel is heavily focused on the emotional aftermath and criminal investigation. BDB is a must read for Irrevocable fans!"
"BEND, DON’T BREAK was a dark, sensual, and at times, twisted and chaotic read that messed with my mind so good. I will never get enough of Ms. Callahan’s writing style, of her beautifully damaged characters, and of her gripping story lines."
